FormulaSexy abs, toned booties, sculpted arms, more energy…these are all things we work so hard for, right? And we’re often tempted to try ANYTHING additional to give ourselves a little boosty boost, right? I mean think about it, solicitations, temptations, fad “diets”, magic pills, detoxes…”where do I turn, ahhhhh”. Have you ever felt like this?

Sure, the easiest thing to do is give in, spend a little extra money and jump on the fad-bandwagon. Once we’re on the fad-bandwagon, we’re not just along for the joyous ride, we’re now driving that glorious p.o.s.! Racing with excitement, giddy with a million percent more energy as if we’ve just become a born again energizer bunny on wheels. But then what happens? The wheels fall off and that p.o.s. snaps in f-ing half, causing you to a screeching halt! Great, now what?

How I’ve gotten to wagons and bunnies, I’m really not sure…lol. But the point is, don’t act like a yo-yo (okay, now yo-yo’s??). Seriously, how many times have you said, “going on vacation next month and I’m sooooo not ready.” Why not always be ready?!

This is me (in the picture). Trust me when I tell you that I didn’t always look like this, not a year ago, not even six months ago!! The truth is…it wasn’t until recently that I made a commitment to myself to follow this fitness formula to the T. I’ve always “believed” in it, but did I eat, breathe and sleep it….no! I was eating everything else…lol. I absolutely LOVED my daily glass of vino (or 3), Mexican food, ICE CREAM (OMG), pizza, chicken wings and more. The sad part was that I was working out 6-7 days a week killing myself to try and break even.

So, I committed to reducing the vino intake, eliminating all the crappy eating and working out 3-5 days a week. HIIT workouts, Crossfit and my Fitness Journal keep my workouts exciting. Also, to keep things fresh, I’m always googling (clean foods, total body workouts and more). I eat pure, whole foods and drink tons of water. My husband and I love to go out to eat…so when we do, it’s on Sundays for a cheat meal. If I go out with girlfriends during the week, absolutely, I’ll have an adult beverage….BUT, my meal is clean all the way.

Food for thought: It’s up to you to tell the server what you want. You guys have heard me say this before…but please order sauces, butter, etc. on the side. Order things grilled versus fried. Also, turkey burgers and salads are not always healthier!!!! Do your research and look up the Nutrition Facts of your favorite restaurant(s). I recently read an article from the Huffington Post that stated the average meal at a chain restaurant was 1300 calories…gross!

Anyway, I know this was a long one…but I hope this inspires you to do a little better than yesterday. You got this!
